Who are we?


InMachines Ingrassia GmbH is a young and international company focused on designing and producing open-source digital fabrication machines, such as 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, and others. Located in Schwarzenbek, near Hamburg, InMachines is currently involved in a research project in cooperation with Fab City Hamburg, amongst other international projects. The workshop has 400m², with a wide range of machines and tools to build and produce prototypes and machine parts. You will be part of our team with skills ranging from engineering to design and communication.

Are you ready to develop machines with us?

Your tasks:

  • Designing, prototyping and testing  machine controllers and any other type of machine electrics and electronics
  • Preparing and proofing the PCBs production
  • Assist on the development of the machines’ electric and electronic system
  • Testing and ensuring the functionality and safety of the machines electronic systems according to relevant standards
  • Research and analysis of the current state-of-the-art


  • Collaborate with the general design of machines
  • Assist with the machines’ assembly and testing, when the electric or electronics systems are concerned.
  • Collaborate with the documentation of open-source machine controllers and electronic systems
  • Take care of the machine shop organisation
  • Help with prototyping lab consultancy and daily tasks 

Our requirements:

Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field
  • Previous experience in designing PCBs and electric systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Team-oriented and at the same time independent
  • Flexibility, open-mindedness, and the desire to learn
  • Work in presence in the company premises in Germany 

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master Degree  in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in Embedded programming
  • Fab Academy Diploma or similar experience
  • 1 or more years of working experience
  • Previous development of controller PCBs
  • Previous development of open-source (hardware) projects
